Cresta Labels strengthens capability with Dantex PicoColour® investment

Published 12 April 2018 | By Dantex

A recent investment in a Dantex PicoColour® UV inkjet digital press with Corona treatment unit, has seen established label firm, Cresta Labels, strengthen a print capability that includes flexo, hotfoil and thermal transfer; with the installation, completed in early March, also complementing their existing digital offering. Nottinghamshire-based Cresta has been providing flexible labelling solutions across a wide range of industries for over 40 years.

Using the very latest in print head technology to provide exceptional results, PicoColour is one of the most innovative printing presses available on the market. Being versatile and with a small footprint, the label printing system offers superb printed results and is suitable for short and long run jobs. Providing all the benefits of digital printing for today's demanding production environment, including no minimum quantity, inline finishing, no waste and a super fast turnaround, the press is built to last and simple to operate and maintain.

Cresta Labels managing director, Peter Lloyd, said: "We spent 18 months researching the next step in our continued investment in digital technology. The PicoColour press offers a more robust solution to our current setup and has the ability to print and convert labels in one pass, thereby saving time in dealing with re-registration issues and material.

"The Corona treatment unit was also a must for printing on a variety of substrates, and with the flexibility of the PicoColour to add variable data and white, all future possible requirements are covered."

Richard Lloyd, Cresta's sales & marketing director, added: "Dantex Group's industry expertise in both repro and digital gave us a massive amount of confidence and through the installation process their support and knowledge have been excellent. I can genuinely say this press is a 'game-changer' for us. With the quality and label finish achieved, we are very excited about the future opportunities it brings."
