Agr opens testing laboratory in Delft, Netherlands

PKBR Staff Writer Published 06 December 2017

Agr International's American Glass Research division has opened a European testing laboratory in Delft, the Netherlands to serve glass manufacturing and beverage filling industries.

Featuring modern analysis and testing equipment, the new lab can be used to carry out a range of testing services, including performance testing of glass packaging.

The lab will also be used for fracture diagnosis, proof-of-design testing, dimensional evaluation and analysis of label, decoration and closure issues.

Agr testing laboratory is also suitable for evaluation of coating performance, audit of glass plant operations, filling line audits, glass technical consultancy and training and seminars.

In addition, the lab provides resources from AGR North American offices for material analysis, glass quality and complete container design and development.

In September this year, Agr launched new Individual Mold Control for the Process Pilot automated blowmolder control system

The addition of Individual Mold Control will help manage thickness distribution during PET bottle production on the individual mold level.

Individual Mold Control allows to reduce production variation and increase production days due to targeted maintenance.

It will also help to eliminate outlier mold-specific containers that may create downstream issues and improve down-stream performance.

The Process Pilot with the Individual Mold Control option can be used with rotary stretch blowmolding systems, which integrate independent mold station management.

Agr provides quality assurance and process automation equipment to the global packaging markets.
